Cake Day at the RSGYC! 17 June 2016

To celebrate the end of each Summer sailing course the junior sailors turn into master bakers and bring in their best creations. This week we added an extra twist whereby they could choose to bake a sailing themed cake or a football themed cake. As usual, the standard this week was really high, chocolate seems to be the most popular choice. Below are some photographs taken of the cakes for the day.

There were four days of intense competition with conditions varying from light and shifty to squalls of 25 knots and as always in Cork Harbour, challenging tides. For George sailors, however, this just allowed them to put all the hard training hours done over the winter into practice and boy, did it pay off. Many congratulations to all the Club's sailors who took part.
